  By Railroad (Amtrak):

Amtrak has service direct to Bellingham via the Cascades route (Salem, OR to Vancouver, BC), and service into Seattle on the Coast Starlight (from LA) and Empire Builder routes (from Chicago).

It's worth checking out if you have a flexible schedule and a couple good books:)

The local WTA bus serves the train station.

Or if you stay at the Fairhaven Inn, it's a short walk or cab ride.

Go Greyhound:

Greyhound serves Bellingham to the Train terminal near Fairhaven.

It looks like the Green Tortoise Bus doesn't even get up to Seattle.

B-ham
Bellingham International Aiport:

Direct flights into Bellingham are limited, but can be very reasonable.

Carriers to B-ham include Allegiant Air, Delta, and Alaskan Airlines.

There are car rentals available at the airport or it'll be a short taxi ride to your hotel.

Since B-ham is small, it's very walkable. We'll try to carpool to the wedding...you might think about not having a car.  If you're staying at Hotel Bellwether, there will be plenty of seats available to get to and fro.

Unfortunately no buses serve the airport;  although the WTA provides good coverage around the city.

SEA-TAC Airport:

Flights are ample.  The airport is located south of Seattle (and North of Tacoma).

Bellingham is about 100 mi, and between 1:45 to 2:15 hours north of SEA-TAC by rental car depending on time of day and traffic.

Our recommendation would be to take the inexpensive, comfortable, and very convenient Airporter Shuttle and not deal with traffic.  The Airporter drops you off at the Val-U Inn Motel, near the I-5 freeway.  If your staying elsewhere, it's just a short cab ride into town.

If you're flying in on a red eye,  too late for the Airporter, or want to spend a day sightseeing in Seattle before or after the wedding... contact Jeff and Jenn and you can crash at our house in Seattle.  It's a two bus ride from SEA-TAC.

One Bus will get you downtown, where you could also find a Hostel.
